Human Rights Day was observed for creating awareness among students regarding various human rights from 10th December to 20th December 2007.
On 25th December 2007 Christmas was celebrated in the village Sahauran during the 10-days NSS camp by organizing folk games.
Lohri celebration – Festival of Lohri marks the end of winter and arrival of spring. We at Rayat - Bahra College of Education used this great opportunity to sensitize the attitude of would be teachers towards eradication of female foeticide on 7th January 2008. Students also danced around the sacred fire and enjoyed the festival. Mr. Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Vice Chairman, Rayat and Bahra Group of Institutes also attended the celebrations and strongly favoured the stopping of female foeticide and appreciated the efforts of Principal, faculty and students. Directors of sister institutes in the campus Prof. Bal Krishan and Prof. Veer Singh, Director of Rayat and Bahra College of Law and Mrs. Sonali Sinha, Principal of Rayat - Bahra College of Hotel Management; Dr. K. K. Uppal, Director of Human Resource Management, also attended the function.
The programme was also covered and recorded by Mr. Rana Ranbir and Mr. Deepak from Channel Zee Punjabi. This programme was proposed to be shown on 13th January 2008 on the T.V. Show “Excuse Me Please”.
On 25th January 2008, National Integration Day was celebrated by organizing inter-house competitions in solo singing, group singing and poetical recitation.
National Science Day (28th February) was observed by organizing various activities for creating awareness regarding science on the theme ‘Understanding Planet Earth’ from 25th February to 12th March 2008
