GOVERNING BODY MEETING

Performance of the college and its development was reviewed in the meeting of the Governing Body of Rayat & Bahra College of Education, Sahauran held on 10th April 2008. Seven out of thirteen members attended the meeting with the agenda of confirmation of the minutes of the previous governing Body Meeting held on 11th January 2007, action taken for enhancement of B. Ed. Seats and introduction of M. Ed. course and presentation of annual report. All the members whole-heartedly applauded the work done by the college in the fields of Education and community service. They congratulated the Principal and college for the University positions bagged by our students in the examination of session 2006-07. Participation of students in various inter-college competitions was highly praised by members.  

BOOKS ADDED TO THE LIBRARY

About 5700 books were added to the existing collection of library. These included around 3400 books for the additional B.Ed. seats and about 2300 books for        M. Ed. course. Apart from these, 7 more encyclopaedias were acquired and 6 more journals were subscribed.

FAREWELL

The college bid a loving adieu to the students and wished them all the best for their future in a party organized in ‘Pind Khushian da’. 15 Prizes and 150 certificates for academic and co-curricular achievements were awarded to the students. Mispreet Kaur (7010) was adjudged overall best student and Balwant Singh (7112) was declared best NSS volunteer.

RABBOSA – Rayat & Bahra B. Ed. Old Students Association

RABBOSA was founded in the year 2006 with 30 students to maintain lifelong contact with our old students. This year, the number of alumni grew fourfold as presently we have 125 active members.
