Our Mission The mission of Communicating Arts Credit Union is to provide our members/owners with competitive rates on loans and savings as well as a full range of personalized, convenient services.
Since the beginning, CACU has been all about helping people, and over the years we have made a big difference in the Detroit community. One of our primary philosophies is to reach out into areas that are not receiving the financial services they need.
With this in mind, we will be expanding into the eastern part of Detroit in the near future. This area of Detroit will benefit from our low loan rates and better interest rates, as well as serve some of our members that live in that area.
Our products, while being a great deal for everyone, are created especially for the people who need them the most. And you should know that every time you utilize a CACU product, you are helping to make it possible for someone to improve their financial life through access to credible financial services.
Together we are making a difference in the Detroit community, and we will continue our efforts. Keep your eyes and ears open as we get closer to announcing the details and location of our new Detroit branch.
We are pleased to announce that all three incumbent members were re-elected to their positions on the Board of Directors for the coming year. Congratulations to these Board Members, and thank you for your continued willingness to serve CACU and its members!
Matthew Barbour, Robert Feldman, and Virginia Jennings
In addition, during the Annual Meeting we recreated some of the excitement that CACU felt when it went to Washington DC to be presented with our recent awards. With this in mind, CACU staff presented the official awards we received during the past year to the Board of Directors. This was also to show our appreciation for their dedication that helped us achieve our goals. The awards included Michigan’s Outstanding Credit Union of the Year; Social Responsibility and CU Philosophy in Action Awards; as well as a $2 million dollar grant from the President’s Stimulus Package.
