CSAT/RWJF Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Systems and Support Summit (2002)
Coordination: States should establish a comprehensive approach to adolescent substance abuse treatment and the coordination of all adolescent health and social services.
Organization: States should work with participating agencies to develop an integrated intake and delivery system.
States should coordinate financial resources and develop a State plan.
States should promote screening and assessment of substance use disorders through EPSDT and other financing mechanisms.
States should train clinicians and other staff in adolescent development and other adolescent-serving systems
States should raise the standards for licensure and certification of adolescent substance abuse treatment professionals.
