This planning application seeks planning permission for the erection of a rear conservatory, garage conversion and double garage to the eastern gable of 14 Bluebell Wynd, Wishaw. The dwelling is a two storey detached dwellinghouse and is bounded by dwellings to all sides. The site is situated within an established housing area and Policy HSG8 (residential amenity) and HSGl3 (house extensions) of the Southern Area Local Plan Finalised Draft (Modified 2001 & 2004) are therefore material planning considerations as is the "Developers guide to open space" is also relevant in this instance.
The proposed conservatory will be located to the rear of the property and will measure approximately 6.5 metres square in area and 3 metres in height. The double garage will be located to the side of the dwelling facing the corner junction and will measure approximately 6 metres by 6 metres, 36 square metres. The garage will be 3.7 metres in height with a double door measuring 5.3 metres wide and will incorporate a pitched roof to match the existing dwelling and finished in materials to match the existing dwellinghouse.
