MISC selects HERNIS for another 5 LNG Vessels

Again HERNIS is proud to be cooperating both with MISC (Malaysia International Shipping Corporation Berhad) and MHI (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries) in Japan for the supply of the new 5 LNG vessels to MISC (Hull number H2220 to 2224) which are to be delivered from the shipyard from the beginning of 2006 and onwards.

The 5 new vessels will be using the HERNIS 400 Compact System with 14 cameras located throughout the vessel

HERNIS and MISC already have experience from collaborating on comprehensive orders. HERNIS was appointed to provide CCTV Systems for 5 LNG’s in Korea in addition to another 5 vessels, which have now been delivered to MISC from Japan.

The 5 new vessels will be using the HERNIS 400 Compact System with 14 cameras located through- out the vessel. The vessel will also be using LCD monitor instead of the general CRT monitors. The project was not easily secured due to heavy competition from domestic and over-seas suppliers, however we are truly honoured that MHI (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries) selected HERNIS Scan Systems for this project.

With a fleet of 20 LNG tankers, which is expected to expand to 29 by the end of 2008, MISC is the world's single largest owner operator of LNG tankers.

All MISC's LNG tankers are accre- dited with International Safety Management (ISM) Code, fully International Ships and Port Facility Security (ISPS) compliant and inspected and audited periodically to ensure they exceed the highest

safety and performance standards are set by both local and inter- national regulatory authorities.

MISC is the world's single largest owner operator of LNG tankers

The LNG vessels currently operates in the in the Far East Region servicing Malaysia, Japan, Korea and Taiwan routes as well as in the Atlantic Basin servicing Nigeria-Europe/USA routes.

The selection was made with respect to the quality of the equipment, the necessarily support and their confidence in our Company as a premium supplier of suitable equipment for the harsh marine environment. Congratulations once again to MHI, and our best wishes for a long and close relationship with MISC.
