*  figure out what is accurate and important to teach—what you will accept as evidence of mastery

*  it is our duty to teach so all students can learn, and students can’t learn without            hope.  Adjust what you teach, so all students can learn

*  teachers who do not adjust instructional pacing for struggling or advanced students          will cause them to flounder
