HELPFUL DIFFERNTIATION APPROACHES

SCAFFOLDING

Scaffolding is when we provide direct instruction and support for students as they initially learn a concept or skill, then slowly pull back until students can fly solo.  Their independence should be our goal.

Scaffolding is what we do for some students as we tier.

Do students have enough direct instruction and support to complete this task, or do they have too much?  How can I build their independence with            this task by slowly releasing my control of their learning?
