Living in Adelaide
Adelaide is an education city, hosting many of the oldest established learning institutions in Australia and is home to over 20000 international students. Adelaide is a very livable city with most venues no more than 20 minutes away. The central business area is host to a wonderful array of parks, schools, universities, shops, cafes, restaurants and entertainment venues including the famous central market. The city is surrounded on one side by beautiful hills and on the other by 60 kms of pristine beaches. Adelaide has excellent public transport system of trains, trams and buses. Students receive discount public transport fares with a 10 trip multi-ticket costing around A$14.00. There is a free bus and tram system in the city centre. Living costs are relatively cheaper than most other Australian capital cities but will vary depending on whether you choose to live by yourself or share with others and the style of accommodation.
Adelaide enjoys a Mediterranean climate with warm dry summers and mild winters. So clothing need only be lightweight in summer with warm jackets and jumpers needed for the short winter.
Industry needs people who are creative, work in teams, take initiative, communicate effectively, synthesis, analysis and discern. People who are comfortable with technology. All our programs embed these essential 21st Century skills and are industry accredited.
