Magic Squares

A 'Magic Square' is a mathematical puzzle in which squares in a grid are numbered so that the total of any row or column equals the same num- ber. This 3-D optical Illusion quilt is made from units assembled in a similar fashion to create a random three dimensional effect. There are two variations of the pattern, a four-unit version that will make a quilt that measures 48” x 64” (without borders) and the five unit version yields a 56” x 80” top (without borders). The 3-D blocks are pieced in a nifty 'cheater' method that makes con- structing the top a breeze. Confident Beginner and up Instructor: Helene Knott. Aug 22nd 10am-5pm 6hrs +lunch break.$45
