BEGINNING KIDS CLASS

This class is for the beginning youth quilter. We will be making a simple quilt composed of a 4-patch block and a square. Learn the basics while having a fun time with your friends. Please bring your own sewing machine and a few basic sewing supplies. A small amount of cut- ting in class will be required. You may bring your own fabric or make one of the kits that will be available. Instructor: Sharon Rice $30.00 plus kit. July 20th thru July 23rd. 6 pm8 pm. Limited to 8 students ages 8 and up.

Diamonds on the Double

Can you find the block? I’ll give you a hint… 4 block units go together to make one 8‖ block. With an on-point setting this quilt can easily be sized just right for any bed in your house. Strip piecing and Kay’s way of over-sizing and squaring down the block unit makes piecing these quilt blocks so easy you’ll want to make more than one of these quilts. Hand Quilting with Aunt Becky

JEAN BROWN In this class I will discuss some hints for different construction of our quilts. Then, the actual hands on work to learn the method for faster, more perfect quilt- ing on quilts. Letting AUNT BECKY do the work for us. Instructor: Jean Brown. Sept 28th Noon-3pm 3 hrs $35

ADVANCED KIDS CLASS

We will be using a pat- tern by Ila McCallum entitled ―Wind Farm‖ to learn how to make trian- gle pieces into a beauti- ful quilt. This class is for the kids that have taken a quilt class before or have previous experience piecing. There will be cutting with a rotary cutter as well as some ―homework‖ in order to finish our quilt. Limited to 8 students. Instructor: Sharon Rice $30 plus pattern. August 10-12th plus August 14th 6pm - 9pm.

DAY & NIGHT

As Eleanor Burns says ―Day and Night will mystify, en- chant, and entertain you! It is magical! There is no some and mirrorsthe technique is just totally awesome! So try some hocus pocus with strips, and you will discover the secret of Day and Night!‖ This quilt is very easy to make. Impress everyone you know with this beautiful pattern that can be made into two different styles. Also, with this quilt you get bonus extra projects with the left over fabric pieces that are cut off. Baby CHARITY QUILTING LULLABY QUILTS

Lullaby Quits is a local organization that provides small quits for babies in the neonatal intensive care units throughout local hospitals. Bring a project to work on that you would like to donate, or work on a kit that will be provided. We look forward to seeing you on the following dates: July 17th, Aug 21st, Sept 18th, Oct 16th: all from 10am-1pm.

PROVIDENCE ST. VINCENT PASSAGE QUILT CLUB

Group sewing will be done each month at Sharon’s Attic Quilt Shop on the 2nd Friday nights 6pm-Midnight. If you are not able to come to the drop in sessions, your are welcome to make a quilt on your own or pickup kits at Sharon’s Attic Quilt Shop. Our goal is to provide~ 600 quilts/year.
