When the Governor of Victoria Professor David de Kretser AC retires from office on7th April his Patronage of the Victoria Branch of our Association will also come to an end. It has been our honour and pleasure to have been associated with Professor de Kretser in his role as Patron and we have appreciated his generous and continuing support during his term of office. A highlight of this support last year was the social event for Regional Group members hosted by the Governor and Mrs. De Kretser at Government House. Along with others in the broader Victorian community we have admired and respected Professor de Kretser’s willingness to engage in discussion on significant community issues such as men’s health and climate change and his passion for a ‘fair go’ for everyone. As we wish Professor and Mrs. de Kretser every success and happiness for the future we welcome and congratulate the incoming Governor the Honourable Alex Chernov AO QC who will be inaugurated as Governor of Victoria on 8th April.
We recognise the ongoing and generous support of the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria in the publishing of this Newsletter.
