VENDOR ACCESS CONTROLS

ENTRY LOCATION:

With the exception of Food/Nutrition and Facilities Management, all sales representatives will be required to enter the buildings at designated locations:

17th Street Campus – Personnel Entrance in back of the campus (after hours)

Cape Fear Campus – Side entry door to the Distribution Center

(Hawthorne Street Entrance)

REPORTING LOCATION/SIGNING IN:

All Medical/Surgical and Pharmacy sales representatives will be required to report to the Purchasing Department and sign in upon arrival.  This is the process for NHRMC.

REQUIRED APPOINTMENT:

Sales representatives shall have made an appointment with a specific NHHN/CF staff member prior to coming to the facility.

The Purchasing Department will contact the staff member with whom the appointment was made, announcing the arrival of the sales representative.  If the staff member is ready for the appointment, the rep. will be given a vendor pass and permitted to proceed to the department.  If the staff person is not ready for the appointment, the sales rep. will be advised to stay in the Purchasing area until such time the staff member is ready.  Sales reps. will not be permitted to roam the premises.

Sales representatives coming to either location without an appointment will be asked to leave.  The Purchasing Department will not call hospital staff to request that a sales rep. be given a few minutes of their time.  IMPROMPTU sales calls will not be permitted.

SIGNING OUT:

At the conclusion of the appointment, sales representatives are asked to return to Purchasing and sign out to indicate they are now leaving the Medical Center.
