A.  Medical examination

B.  Fitness minimums

C.  Equipment minimums and inspections

D.  Environmental safety checks

E.  Standards for modifications due to weather

F.  Skill minimum (defined and demonstrated)

G.  Forewarning of potential dangers and risks

2.

Recognition and care

A.  Qualifications for coaches (first aid and coaching certifications)

B.  Athletic injury policy (written records and parental notification)

C.  Athletic injury plan (transportation, doctor, trainer roles, and phone availability)

3.

Reactivation of the athlete

A.  Written policy (physician’s release, signed statement from parent or guardian and functional test)
