Terrence D. Wittman, Village rustee
The Village recently accepted the resignation of Fire Chief Bob Gallas and we welcome Interim Chief Bob Tinucci. Chief Tinucci comes to us as the re- tired chief of the Darien-Woodridge Fire Protection District. He will be serving us until we find a perma- nent replacement.
Just as your businesses have had to be more cre- ative during this current economic turmoil, the Vil- lage is also feeling the pressure of decreased rev- enues and costs that continue to grow, as well as Capital Projects that have to be completed. The Mayor, Board, and entire Staff are working very hard to keep as many services that we have become ac- customed to in our daily lives here, but we also ask for your understanding as we make some difficult, yet necessary decisions, for the greater good of the entire Village. This time too shall pass and we will all recover. We appreciate your support and under- standing!
As a reminder, we have “Coffee with the Board” the first Saturday of every month from 9 – 10:30am on the Second Floor of the Village Hall, in the confer- ence room. Everyone is welcome and this venue of- fers everyone an informal place to discuss anything that may be on your mind concerning the Village.
