Immaculate 1971 2.2-litre model 911 is in for a 2.7-litre upgrade
Greg is the man to make your interior look like new. Using materials approved by the former Connolly company, he can clean, re-colour and treat leather seating and trim
inspections on the premises for £150, again excluding VAT, and Peter is happy to sell cars for customers on a commission basis. ‘It’s convenient for private sellers to be able to leave their car with us so that prospective buyers can view it at any time,’ he says.
Working on the premise that there’s nothing like hands-on activity to gain experience that can be passed on to the customer, Peter’s somewhat of a track day enthusiast. His 993 RS Club Sport – an ex-Italian GT series racer that is now road-registered and boasts such luxuries as
sat-nav, hands-free telephone and wireless intercom system – is in action whenever possible. Ex-drag racer Greg, from Ohio, USA, is in the process of building his own 993 RS replica, which started life as a rolling shell and when complete will be ‘RS apart from the chassis number’. It will be road-registered and track-day ready.
It may not be the biggest, but it’s perfectly formed. Twenty-five years in business, with workshops full and satisfied customers constantly beating a path to the door, must prove that Peter Tognola knows what he’s doing.
