Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me! Debuts on July 4th.

The most requested program in pledge drive comments starts at 11 am on Saturday, July 4th and repeats at 5 pm on Sunday, July 5th kicking off a new and improved weekend lineup.

“Wait, Wait…” is NPR’s weekly hour-long quiz program testing your knowledge against some of the best and brightest in the news and entertainment world while figuring out what is real news and what is made up. You can also play along on the Web.

Hosted by Peter Sagal, Wait, Wait… also features Carl Kasell as the Official Judge and Scorekeeper. Wait, Wait… is a co-production of NPR and Chicago Public Radio.

New schedule additions include Fresh Air Weekend at 3 pm on Saturdays. Fresh Air with Terry Gross is a Peabody Award-winning magazine of contemporary arts and issues known for captivating interviews with guests from literature, science, music, film, and more. Fresh Air Weekend culls the highlights from the previous week’s shows for engaging weekend listening.

Sundays will begin with New Dimensions at 7 am, replacing the two year old reruns of Saint Paul Sunday. New Dimensions’ dialogues are focused on vital interests of thoughtful, insightful, people concerned with the spiritual, psychological, sociopolitical and the physical health of individuals and the world. Guests are innovative, articulate, active, concerned practitioners who inspire and instruct.

Marketplace Money will air at 10 am on Sundays instead of Saturdays at 11 am.

Because of the addition of Wait, Wait… to the Sunday afternoon schedule, Thistle and Shamrock will be heard at 8pm, following Back Porch with Benjy Rivas.

Weekdays will now feature the Marketplace Morning Report at 6:51 am and 8:51 am during KRWG’s Morning Edition. The Marketplace Morning Report is the sister program from the award-winning staff of Marketplace Money. MMR brings you the morning business news in the time it takes you to drink your first cup of java; MMR is a great way to start your day by staying financially informed. You can also hear the latest local business news every Monday on Morning Edition at 7:51 am. Fred Martino speaks with Las Cruces Sun News Business Editor, Brook Stockberger for the Monday Businesswatch, which is also available on demand in the news section at www.krwgfm. org.
