The building - sidewalk - street relationship
Activities on the street--Streets can have multiple functions for play, dining informal and formal commu- nication. The street is designed to accommodate these activities. These functions contribute to making the street livable and improving safety issue for the com- munity as well.
Concept--To provide these multiple functions on Main Street, soft boundaries between buildings and side- walks and sidewalks and streets are suggested. Ad- ditional spaces and subtractive spaces are created along the street to create soft boundaries.
