GATEWAY CENTER MASTER PLAN Atlanta, Georgia
MGA provided master planning and architectural design for the 20-story, 300,000 S.F. office tower that was built to house the worldwide corporate headquarters of LJ Hooker, a real estate development firm, and has subsequently been sold to Coca-cola. The tower was planned as the first phase of a larger mixed use development called Gateway Center, which was not built. The site for the office building is adjacent to an existing nine-story hotel and a rapid transit station connecting midtown Atlanta with the city’s larger metropolitan region. The building includes underground parking, ground level retail and public space, 17 floors of office space, and space for a future restaurant on the top floor.
