New Jersey State Police Headquarters & Training Center Campus Master Plan, West Trenton, New Jersey Principal-in-Charge and Lead Planner/Architect for the new State Police HQ and Training Center Complex, which will provide a state-of-the-art working and training campus environment for the New Jersey State Police. The project includes 425,820 S.F. of new construction and 110,500 S.F. in conversion of existing space, plus an outdoor training area of 594,000 S.F. It includes dormitories, dining facility, fitness center, academic facilities, an auditorium, interactive learning facilities, maintenance garage, and HQ office building. Through its siting and architectural character, the new facilities convey an important new image of the State Police as a responsive, specialized law enforcement agency serving the citizens of New Jersey.
Brisbane Civic and Community Center Master Plan, Brisbane, California Principal-in-Charge and Lead Planner/Architect for the planning and design of the Brisbane Civic and Community Center Master Plan. The project included offices for city administration and public safety departments, City Council chambers, a community recreation center, and a freestanding firehouse. MGA prepared three preliminary schemes for local community review and comment. The three schemes were intended to demonstrate different strategies for organizing the site, the buildings, and associated outdoor spaces and public entries. In all three schemes, the fire station was located at the apex of the triangular site because of the existing street pattern.
Cosmotoda Project in l’Hospitalet Master Plan, Barcelona, Spain Principal-in Charge and Lead Planner/Architect for the Master Plan for the Cosmotoda Project in L’Hospitalet. The project proposed a new residential and retail area that would act as a catalyst for neighboring developments. The plan accommodates several existing structures within new construction to enhance the character of both old and new. Programmatically, the new buildings comprise two floors of retail and three floors of housing. The lower retail levels are articulated with pedestrian-scaled entrances and arcades, which provide vitality at the street level. Variety in the massing of the upper levels and roofs of the buildings create opportunities for creating roof terraces and interesting views.
U.S. Embassy Compound Master Plan, Seoul, Korea Principal-in-Charge and Lead Planner/Architect for the 422,255 S.F. U.S. Embassy in Korea. Project included a Compound Master Plan, and design (ongoing) of the New Office Building (181,382 S.F.); Housing including Deputy Chief of Mission Residence (212,700 S.F.), and Marine Security Guard Quarters and Domestic Quarters (MSGC/ DSQ – 8,597 S.F.). The project also included the design-build 16,275 G.S.M. 55 units
