As a result of changes in programmed use and area, a second design was prepared, which was implemented. The final scheme, a 176,000 S.F., 11-story building, includes retail shops and a restaurant at the base, four floors of leased office space, and six floors of headquarters offices for the Delaware River Port Authority.
De Resident Redevelopment: Castalia (Headquarters of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport), The Hague, The Netherlands Project Manager and Planner/Architect for Castalia, the headquarters for the Netherlands’ Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. It is one component of the redevelopment of de Resident, a planned mixed-use section of The Hague comprising office buildings and housing. Inspired by the local context, the project of 29,215 S.M. involved re-cladding an existing 19-story 1950s jack-slab building, and construction of two annexes along Zwarteweg.
Museum of Pre-History Campus Master Plan, Taitung, Taiwan Project Planner/Architect for National Museum of Pre-History Campus Master
Plan, which sited the new museum complex near an important archaeological site on Taiwan’s scenic Eastern coast. The project was awarded following a two-stage design competition. The master plan included a visitor center, an on-site archeological facility and exhibition, and collection, research and educational facilities: flexible exhibit galleries, a 200-seat theater, a research library, laboratories, curatorial and administrative offices, collection support/artifact preparation, dining facility, 400- person conference facility, and housing for visiting scholars.
Prior to joining MGA Ohio State University High Street Master Plan, Columbus, OH Project Planner/Architect for a mixed-use redevelopment including High Street and adjacent neighborhood. The project included offices, entertainment, and residential components.
Cincinnati Riverfront Master Plan, Cincinnati, OH Project Planner/Architect for a Cincinnati Riverfront Master Plan that included the siting of Great American Ballpark for the Cincinnati Reds. The plan reclaimed the riverfront as a cultural asset and relinked the downtown central business district back to the water’s edge. The master plan included outdoor open space, office, entertainment, residential, cultural, and a sports venue.
