Parsons Brinkerhoff (PB), Newark and West Windsor, NJ – Rail Transportation Planning Parsons Brinckerhoff, as a leading transportation related consulting firm in New Jersey and in the United States, has the resources and experi- ence to provide West Windsor Township with a full spectrum of multi- modal transportation planning services. PB has established itself as a leader in the transportation engineering and planning field through over 115 years of tradition in quality and innovation, with more than 230 persons right in West Windsor Township (Carnegie Center) and New- ark, New Jersey, and 10,000 people worldwide. Having had a New Jersey presence for over 50 years, PB has extensive knowledge of the State’s transportation infrastructure and travel characteristics, much of it learned first-hand through many project assignments completed for the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), New Jersey Transit (NJTRANSIT), the New Jersey Highway Authority, the New Jer- sey Turnpike Authority, and the South Jersey Transportation Authority. PB brings with it enormous depth and a unique mixture of local and national experience, particularly in the area of Transit-Oriented Devel- opment (TOD). The PB Land Use Resource Center has national and international expertise in planning for and implementing TOD, including projects on the west coast and in the northeast. PB is currently working with a developer in the Meadowlands to design and construct a tran- sit station by the developer in coordination with NJTransit. Also, PB’s recently completed TOD study in West Hyattsville, MD is an outstand- ing example of developing recommendations regarding all aspects of TOD implementation within an existing community. PB has extensive experience in the design of transit stations throughout New Jersey and the country. PB has been responsible for the Hamilton Transit Complex original design and construction, the Hudson Bergen Light Rail, the Riv- er Line, the soon to be open Newark Rail Link and the Newark Airport Rail Connection station. PB is currently working on the restoration of passenger service on the NYSW line from Hawthorn to Hackensack, which encompasses ten stations and a new station on the Bergen Line for a private developer.
