Lion design ideas A lion with realistic fur, claws and mane but to work in tones around royal purple. The colour purple will stand out as bright and modern against an urban or landscaped setting. To help the public engage with this lion I would paint a mouse hidden within its mane which children could be encouraged to look for. In this way they would explore the sculpture. The mouse refers to the Aesop Fable of The Lion and The Mouse.
