Lion design ideas Dandy Lion. A ‘foppish’ fellow, with a tail coat, cravat, colourful ruffled shirt-front and fancy accessories. The clothing will be real, not painted, so would have to be displayed indoors.
Lion Heart. I would frame the lion with a giant heart-shape, probably made of wood, which would have other hearts hanging off it. The Lion will be sprayed in a textured metallic colour, to be decided.
The Lion’s Share. The lion with a pair of scales in his mouth. His body will be decorated with symbols of weights & measures. Or, of course, he can be covered in junk like Pigasus, but that poses a problem as to what to call him.
Biog A self-taught artist, Sarah-Jane has lived near Monmouth, in the Wye Valley since 1986. A freelance illustrator, her work has, in the past, included designing enamel boxes for Halcyon Days, Chelsea Enamels and Moorcroft, creating images for most of the major greetings card publishers, book illustration and packaging. A commission to decorate one of 100 life-sized model pigs, which were on display during summer 2008 in the City of Bath, led to a series of 3-dimensional Junk Work pieces.
