  • Support for Slot 1 SEC to inserting the processor into the motherboard. This allows for easy upgrade of the processor. Normally the processor is inserted into the moth- erboard for that the fan is near to its location. This overcomes the problem of mounting a fan on top of the Socket 7 based processor. The Pentium II also has an integrated heat sink and integrated Level-2 cache which is on the substrate for the SEC cartridge.
