ACTIVITy

A. Tell the students they will draw a picture of their home, and to do so, need to spend a minute thinking about the rooms in their home. Ask them where their family spends the most time, and which room they consider to be the family favorite. Explain how this room is considered to be the “center” of the home. Ask them to talk to the class about the center of their home. Is it where people cook or eat? Is it where they watch TV? Do different family members have dif- ferent centers in the home?
