II. REVIEW OF AGENCY OPERATIONS
The examiners reviewed specific aspects of the Agency’s operations in Maryland, including sales, dissemination of sales materials, complaints handling, replacement procedures, use of illustrations, procedures for returning premiums for declined applications, agent licensing and training, agent disciplinary procedures, request for cash surrender of a policy loan request, dividend information, and death claims.
The examiners verified that only approved forms were being used. Verification was obtained when a policy was delivered, a delivery receipt was obtained, and that the policyholder received a buyers guide.
