A LEGAL PERSPECTIVE OF PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS: STATUTORY FRAMEWORK AND NEW CONCESSION CONTRACTS An overview of the major legal issues facing new PPP arrangements and an examination of some of the innovative features used in modern concession contracts. The presentation will describe the economic and financial factors that affect PPP arrangements and the legal techniques applied through the contracts to manage disputes in these projects while allowing timely adjustments throughout the life of the contracts. We will also examine the statutory framework that is evolving at the state level to permit the introduction of innovative procurement practices in PPPs.
