/ The Culture

Beyond the dollar signs and numbers at the Franchise Tax Board, there is a concerted effort to create a dignified and enjoyable work environment for our employees. The numerous employee development programs, continuous community outreach efforts, and other unique events help to create a culture of which we are proud to be a part.

Employee Engagement We are dedicated to tax administration and to the staff that makes it happen. The Franchise Tax Board is a great place to work, contribute, and learn. One of our strategic goals includes creating opportunities for our staff to be the best that they can be through continuous learning. We call the initiative Employee Engagement.

Employee Education Reimbursement We offer staff up to $2,500 for education reimbursement each year. Employees can receive up to 50 percent of the cost for tuition, books, and exam fees for both career-related and upward mobility education. This includes courses toward bachelor’s degrees and professional certificates.

The FTBNet2 Intranet Our staff has access to all job opportunities, training, resources, and personal development via the FTBNet2 Intranet. Information you need for skills development, job- related training, career development, improved business performance, and upward mobility is at your fingertips.
