ROCKY POINT FIRE/EMS BOARD NEWS
An executive meeting preceded the regular May meeting, at which time the Board interviewed Greg Sullivan for the position of Fire Chief. He was unanimously approved and will begin his reign July 1st, 2009, replacing Loren.
The all Board members, the Fire
Chief, and business.
3 guests got right down to Loren reminded all Board
members to call his office if there are agenda
items for the upcoming meeting.
Mike covered financial matters, and the Board approved them, as well as the minutes.
Fire Chief reported responses to 3 MVAs, including a mutual aid to Jackson County that involved auto extrication. They also took care of 1 medical aid and 1 rescue assist at Eagle Lake. Add to that runs for 3 illegal burns and 1 escaped burn.
Volunteers logged 60 hours of training. Aspen Room was busy 5 days with Quilt and 1 for USFS cabin owners’ meeting. And the BBQ plans are right on schedule!
After announcing the budget meeting on May 13th, building permits approved for fuel tanks, and no new news on a replacement pickup, this highly-efficient meeting ended.
