Commissioner Ogden moved to accept Policy #89-4 entitled “Work Within The Right-of-Way from November 15 to April 15” revisions, seconded by Commissioner Saunders.

Mr. Harmon:

Presented and discussed Task Force 10-A County Balance Sheet.

Presented Falcon Road Maintenance Equipment February 07, 2005 correspondence requesting to purchase CCRC #198 Hot Patcher.  After discussion, all present agreed bids shall be taken for said equipment.

Commissioner Ogden moved to open Used Equipment #198 bids at 2:00 PM February 25, 2005, seconded by Commissioner Saunders.

The Board approved Mrs. Kondrats Finance & Human Resource Committee reappointment through CRAM.

Mr. Luchenbill presented truck specification for Board review, explaining dump boxes and sanders are 100% stainless steel.

Commissioner Saunders moved to open “Two 2006 Single Axle Heavy-Duty Work-Ready Trucks” at 11:00 AM February 28, 2005, seconded by Commissioner Ogden.

Mr. Luchenbill said new Ironton Ferry clutches are installed, and CCRC mechanics have begun preparations for April 15, 2005 opening.

All Board members are unable to attend April 10-12, 2005 Commissioners Seminar in Traverse City.

Mr. Luchenbill compiled several obsolete items after cleaning the stock room.  He will inventory and tag said items; sealed bid opening to be set at a later date.

Peaine Township supervisor John Works informed Mr. Harmon trees were “girdled” along natural beauty Westside Road, affecting three property owners.  Police are investigating this civil infraction.  CCRC will remove unsalvageable trees this spring.

Mr. Harmon said 2005 Certification Map will be ready for approval prior to March month-end.

Commissioner Ogden:

Requested Townhall Road update.  Mr. Harmon has given information to CCRC Attorney Joel Wurster, who will respond in writing after review.

Requested Donegal Bay Non-Motorized Trail payment update.  Mr. Harmon received MDOT-Lansing e-mail, which is requiring more stipulations before payment is made.

Asked about Eveline Township requested road priority list.  Mr. Harmon and Mr. Vanek completed and mailed list; township hasn’t replied to date.  Mr. Harmon and Mr. Vanek are currently working on South Arm requested road priority list.

Recommended grouting riprap on Anderson Road culvert project.  Mr. Vanek said culvert portion of project is complete, and will add grout when riprap is done this spring.
