Ms. Davis stated that it is her understanding the previous Payroll/Accounts Payable Clerk made a “terrible mess” of accounts payable and payroll and was earning $13.00 per hour, while she is only making $9.87 per hour and does a good job.

The Board questioned Ms. Davis regarding her tardiness.  Ms. Davis responded that she was only one to two minutes late a week, she has a 16 year old car and also doesn’t have to gumption is unable to pass slow vehicles.

Ms. Davis stated that she doesn’t think $11.00 per hour is good enough.

Ms. Davis concluded her presentation and left the meeting.  The Board continued wage rate deliberations for the Clerk, Shop Foreman and Accounts Payable/Payroll Clerk.  The Board instructed Mr. Harmon to prepare a wage rate recommendation for these three positions for the January 24, 2005 meeting.

Commissioner Ogden:

At the October Annual Township Meetings, the Road Commission promised the townships a response regarding 2005 Road Commission Cost Share Policy status.

Mr. Harmon recommended to continue the Gravel Share Policy, Sealcoat Policy (road commission paying $2,000/Mile of township funded sealcoat projects), and pay all engineering for township funded road construction projects.
