Fibrin deposition in sinusoids with haemorrhage and lytic
hepatocellular necrosis. Vasculitis is a well documented and common lesion in calves which is not commonly documented in adults or fetuses. Widespread fibrinocellular thrombosis in portal vein and hepatic sinusoids (Image bottom right).
