Displaying IMS ISAM/OSAM Buffer Pool Statistics (ROSP)

The fields in the ROSP panel are described below.

Buffers Page-Fixed?

Indicates whether the buffers were page fixed for the interval.

Prefix Page-Fixed?

Indicates whether the buffer prefix was page fixed for the interval.

Locate calls Locates found in pool Read requests Single block writes New Block requests Records altered Purge requests Blks written by purge

The cumulative number of locate calls. The cumulative number of locates found in pool. The cumulative number of read requests. The cumulative number of single block writes. The cumulative number of new block requests. The cumulative number of logical records altered. The cumulative number of purge requests.

The cumulative number of blocks written per purge operation.

Total I/O errors Buffers locked by errors Hit ratio Subpool ID

The cumulative number of I/O errors. The cumulative number of locked buffers due to I/O The ratio of locate calls to locates found in the pool.

An OSAM database can be assigned to a generic or specific subpool

Databases assigned to this subpool

EPILOG reports on multiple OSAM database subpools, displaying the databases allocated to each specific OSAM subpool.

To limit the scope of the ROSP panel, add a sub-operand. Examples are shown below.

DISPLAY ROSP (1 3)

Limits scope of display to ISAM/OSAM subpools 1 and 3.

DISPLAY ROSP (2:6)

Limits scope of display to ISAM/OSAM subpools 2 through 6; the colon (:) denotes range.
