Style of Application
To apply for this or any position in the Council you are required to complete the Corporate Application form. Please complete all of the sections on the application form, if a section is not relevant to you then please state this rather than leaving it blank. The application form is the only information the recruiting manager will have about you to be able to decide if you are suitable for the position so please ensure you present yourself in the best possible way.
When completing the application form, especially providing information in support of your application, please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification that are enclosed with the pack. These documents will provide details of what the role requires and the kind of person we are looking for.
Other points to remember when completing the form are:
all attached notes must be supplied on A4 paper;
please use paperclips rather than staples to attach any extra documents;
please clearly state your name and the post number on any attached documents;
it is important that the name address and phone numbers of any referee are supplied.
Incomplete referee details may result in delays in your application;
please ensure that your application form clearly displays the post reference number and the closing date on the front page;
if a pre-employment check consent form has been enclosed in your pack, please return this with your application form;
an Equal Opportunities Form is included with your application please return this to us with your
completed application form.
