For all occasions where CB and RT conveyed unfulfilled expectation negation (before disappearance negation), they were in action contexts.

It being in action contexts, Pea believes that it follows as a “primitive precursor” of existence or location uses by the child.

Existence and location negations of unfulfilled expectation bring about knowledge within the child about structure in the physical world and social environment in the form of scripts, naturally occurring sequences, activities, objects, events and behaviours.
