PARENTING WITH MS IN THE FAMILY
Saturday, June 7, 2008
8:30 - 11:00 am
Kellogg West Conference Center & Lodge at Cal Poly Pomona
3801 W. Temple Ave., Pomona
You and your family are invited for a fun and exciting day! This program will presented in both English and Spanish.
Every member in the family lives with MS when a loved one is diagnosed. Effective parenting is dependent upon how well you handle the challenges MS can bring. Learn ways to manage common symptoms that can impact the family, and improve communication so that they can better understand your needs.
Adults will hear, in either English or Spanish, from a family therapist and from neurologist Duk Hwan Kim, MD. Dr. Kim has worked extensively with leading MS specialists during his internships and residency. He currently devotes a large part of his practice to patients with MS.
Tiffany, diagnosed in 2004
Children and teens (ages 5 - 17) will participate in fun and age-appropriate activities while learning about MS.
Afterwards, participating families can enjoy the rest of the day at Raging Waters.
Cost: $20.00 per person, includes continental breakfast, a morning of education, and afternoon at Raging Waters.
To attend the educational program without going to Raging Waters cost is $5.00 per person (breakfast included).
