5.10

Lubrication

5.10.1.

        Shaft anti-friction bearings, sleeve bearings, pins and surfaces in pivoting or sliding contact shall be grease lubricated using high-pressure button type fittings. (All mast, carriage, and pivoting pins must be lubricated.) Each bearing member shall have separate lubrication fittings. Where grease fittings are not readily accessible, extensions of copper or brass tubing shall be provided to allow servicing from convenient locations.

      • 5.10.3.

        The Manufacturer shall furnish lubricants in accordance with the original manufacturer's recommendations in sufficient quantities for initial lubrication of the Forklift trucks components. The Manufacturer shall furnish a signed check list at delivery signifying that all equipment has been properly lubricated.

5.10.4. The Manufacturer shall furnish a list of oil and grease lubricants needed for all lubricated equipment. In addition, a lubrication schedule shall be provided which identifies the recommended lubrication period and the maximum interval of time or operation hours between filter/oil changes and lubrication.
