SECTION 8 - MISCELLANEOUS
Operating Instructions, Maintenance & Inspection Manuals
Two (2) copies of printed operating instructions, parts manuals, and maintenance and inspection manuals in the English language, covering operation, spare parts, maintenance and inspection, including routine and major maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment, lubrication recommendations, as-built drawings and both routine and major inspections of the structure shall be furnished.
Two (2) sets of electronic copies of these manuals shall be provided in CD/DVD format. These manuals shall be arranged in a logical format and permit easy searching by topic / error message.
Periods of inspection, replacement and lubrication must be clearly indicated. General arrangement drawings showing location of all major components and electrical and hydraulic schematics shall be provided.
The maintenance manuals shall include lists of approved lubricants, oils, fuels, and coolants.
The maintenance manuals shall also incorporate the operation, maintenance and inspection of the Magnet beam system.
Recognizing the vital importance of the proper training for operators and maintenance crew at the terminal site, the Manufacturer shall provide a three (3) day training program for maintenance personnel covering operation and maintenance of the Forklift trucks.
The operator’s training shall be a one (1) day “train the trainer” type program.
The instructor(s) shall be representatives of the Manufacturer fully qualified in the Forklift truck's operational and maintenance requirements and procedures.
As part of the on-site commissioning of the Magnet beam systems, a representative of the Magnet beam supplier shall conduct a training class for ASPA maintenance personnel on Magnet beam operations/maintenance procedures.
Copies of all training shall be provided to ASPA on video (DVD) to supplement future training.
