Fire extinguishers shall be provided as required to meet all governing codes and shall include as a minimum one 5 lb. portable dry CO2 fire extinguisher for electrical and oil fires mounted in an accessible location in the cab.
Two sets of all special tools required for the Forklift trucks operation, maintenance, repair, and inspection shall be furnished by the Manufacturer. These shall include, but not be limited to, special adjusting tools, snap ring pliers, impact wrenches, and wrenches for bolts in excess of 35 mm body diameter. Each tool and wrench shall be stamped so as to be easily identified as to its size and special use, if any.
Service Response Time
It shall be a non-negotiable requirement for the Manufacturer to provide support in the form of adequate spare parts and trained service personnel based in a location(s) readily accessible (response time to ASPA not to exceed four (4) hours - from time of notification until arrival) to the Alabama State Port Authority, Pinto Terminal, Mobile, Alabama for the Forklift trucks to be furnished under this Contract. Manufacturer to provide full details of the proposed service/support location(s) and support levels provided from these service location(s).
Service personnel (technicians, drivers, service personnel, etc) must possess a valid ASPA security badge and a TWIC card in order to gain entry into APSA/Pinto Terminal. The Manufacturer’s service organization shall maintain sufficient personnel with these credentials to fulfill the required service and support requirements.
The Manufacturer shall provide with the bid a recommended spare parts list. Upon award of the contract, the Manufacturer shall identify all recommended spare parts with a complete summary of the prices, recommended replacement intervals and delivery times. The names, address, telephone number, and fax number of the manufacturer of each recommended spare part shall also be included.
The Manufacturer shall provide a detailed list of all proprietary components/systems installed on the Forklift trucks that must be purchased from the Manufacturer in the future in case of replacement.
The Manufacturer shall provide Reference Users list of all forklift trucks of the same/similar capacity and model currently in service.
