What is performance management?

Performance management is :

a holistic system that includes multiple components: classification, compensation, recruitment/selection, orientation, coaching and counseling,  evaluation, and recognition/reward.

a process used within organizations to monitor, measure, report, improve, recognize and reward performance.

the process by which individual capabilities and organizational capacity are enhanced and expanded to help the organization achieve its vision and fulfill its mission.
