How does the IWP relate?

Individual Work Plans (IWPs) relate to the evaluation progress .  Specifically, IWPs:

Are produced collaboratively between the supervisor and staff member.

Must be approved by supervisor, department head, and supervisory AUL.

Should include SMART goals -- Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant/Results-Oriented and Time Bound/Sensitive.

Should not include ongoing, routine work, but specific projects and initiatives, goals for the coming year.

Should include measures, outcomes, results, and criteria for assessment.

Should be developed based on the Library Strategic Plan and Unit Work Plan.

Are for a specific period of time – the upcoming fiscal year.

Need to have a learning and development section.
