OkiLAN 6200e Connect for TCP/IP
OkiLAN 6200e Connect for TCP/IP is a full featured utility that allows simple, direct, TCP/IP printing from your computer to a printer attached to an OKI TCP/IP enabled print server. With OkiLAN 6200e Connect, you can even print to print servers using Dynamic IP addresses (DHCP). Print jobs printed through OkiLAN 6200e Connect are sent directly to the OkiLAN 6200e print server and not routed through the network server, resulting in a reduction of network traffic.
To use OkiLAN 6200e Connect for TCP/IP, your operating system must be Windows 95/98/Me and your computer must be configured to run TCP/IP. The OkiLAN 6200e print server must also be configured to run TCP/IP.
To install OkiLAN 6200e Connect for TCP/IP:
Install the OkiLAN 6200e Connect for TCP/IP.
When installation is complete, click on Start, Settings and then Printers.
Select the Windows printer from which you would like to print with OkiLAN 6200e Connect, then select Properties from the File menu.
Add an OkiLAN 6200e Connect port. This may be done by selecting Add Port under the Details tab.
In the Add Port window, select the radio button labeled Other and then select OKI OkiLAN 6200e Connect IP Monitor as the type of port to add.
Click OK. You will enter into the Add OkiLAN 6200e Connect Port screen where there will be a list of all OkiLAN 6200e print servers available on the local subnet.
If the port you wish to add is listed in the Ports available on local subnet window, select the port name and click the Add button. If the port you wish to use is not listed, click the Locate non-local device button and enter the Static IP Address used for the print server. Click the Add button.
