SESHA REGION/CHAPTER QUARTERLY REPORT  –  SECOND/THIRD QUARTERS, 2002

SESHA REGIONS/CHAPTERS REPORT – FIRST HALF, 2003

North Region

Starting in January, Melissa Owsley assumed the role of Region Director for the North.  Contact was made to each current chapter president to introduce myself as well as offer up any type of support.

Mid Atlantic Chapter

The Mid Atlantic Chapter was losing the current president due to job repositioning outside of the semiconductor industry.  Chris Olexia was voted in as the new Chapter President but has since taken a job with the federal government so has asked that his duties be suspended until he has transitioned into his new role.  In the interim, Hilary Mathews has agreed to act as the Chapter President until Chris is able to resume his responsibilities.

Twin Cities Chapter

Twin Cities Chapter had one meeting in first half with students from U of Wisconsin-Stout and U of Minnesota- Duluth.

Student papers were presented, with an interesting and broad range of topics were covered by students.  Meeting took place in early March.

A SEMI STEP seminar scheduled for May was cancelled due to low registration.

Two meetings are scheduled for remainder of the year, August 12 with guest presenter Mike Sherer discussing Abatement Options and November-Dec with topic to be determined.

New England Chapter

The New England Chapter has had a successful first year.  A mini-conference was held in the first half of the year with quite a bit of participation.  The idea of the conference was to be able to present enough topics that were interesting and up to date which would help to generate participation and possibly attract new members.  The chapter was successful with both.

Tri-State Chapter

Unfortunately, this chapter has been somewhat inactive do to the number of participants.
