SESHA REGION/CHAPTER QUARTERLY REPORT  –  SECOND/THIRD QUARTERS, 2002

SESHA REGIONS/CHAPTERS REPORT – FIRST HALF, 2003 (CONTINUED)

Texas Hill Country Chapter

Speaker - City of Austin, Ozone Emissions Rules and Effect on Semi industry.

Attendance - Very low, probably attributable to industry slowdown and summer vacations.

New programs - Rolling out "point system" awarding members for (1) meeting participation, (2) new member recruiting, (3) speaker participation. The idea is to get the membership more active, recruit new members, and bring more energy to the chapter.

Future plans - full institution of point system. We could not properly roll out at last meeting due to low attendance.

Third quarter regular meeting is in planning stages.

Fourth quarter we will hold a social rather than a regular meeting, hoping to get the group more focused on relationships and break up the monotony. This is typically a low attendance quarter anyway, due to holidays.

North Texas Chapter

Our last meeting was held on June 12.  The presentation was “EHS Issues of Gas and Bulk Chemical Systems” and was presented by Kerry Bowie of TI.

The meeting was held at Matheson Tri-Gas and lunch provided by Safefab.

We celebrated receiving the Genesis Award from SESHA.

Our next meeting is schedule for September 11th at 10:30am.

Board Meetings are held every 2nd Thursday of the Month, with the last few meetings focused on planning our meetings and ideas on how to increase membership.
