SESHA REGIONS/CHAPTERS REPORT – FIRST HALF, 2003 (CONTINUED)

b.

August Chapter Meeting

The August chapter meeting is in the planning stages.  The meeting will be co-sponsored by Hyperion, with the balance of the expenses to be paid by the chapter national SESHA budget. The meeting scheduled for August 21 at the Other Place at Dobson Ranch Inn will feature presentations and panel discussions related to industrial conservation and a general industry OSHA update.

Pacific NW Chapter

No report submitted.

Southern California Chapter

The Southern California Chapter of SESHA is still positioning itself to establish a contact list and hold regular meetings.  Progress has been much slower than expected, and member/participant response has been disappointing.

Although planned for Q1 and Q2, no meetings have been held yet in 2003.  Efforts continue but are largely dependent on member/participant interest level.

 Activities Performed:

- Developed e-mail list from early 2003 membership list and SoCal area semiconductor companies

- Introduced new leadership, preliminary quarterly meeting planning

- Coordinated excellent presenter support for SESHA meetings when they are held

- Attended SESHA Annual Conference and participated in Chapter/Region meeting
