Classroom Materials: (1 per class)
Transparencies: HIV Lifeline, Parts 1-3 (identical to HIV Lifeline worksheets)
Various colors of tissue paper
Pair of scissors
Questions from Onion Ball Question Sheet cut into strips
Student Materials(1 per student):
Worksheet: HIV Lifeline, Parts 1-3
Arrange for overhead projector
Make one Onion Ball per class:
Cut out the questions from the Onion Ball Question Sheet
Take tissue paper and form a small ball.
Tape the last question to be answered on to the tissue paper ball.
Take a different colored tissue paper, wrap it around the ball, and tape it together.
Tape the second to last question on the tissue paper. Continue this process until all of the questions have been taped to the ball, with question number one on the outside of the ball.
The final product should be an “onion” with alternating layers of tissue paper and questions.
