Section 1 – Introduction
What is the Filey Town Plan?
This town plan for Filey and has been developed by a small working group on behalf of Filey Town Council.
The Town Plan covers the administrative boundary of the Town Council and includes Filey Ward and the Primrose Valley area, which falls within the Hertford Ward.
The plan has been developed to provide focus for the work of the Town Council and to help it work effectively to meet the needs of the Community it serves. The aim is for the plan to:-
Set out the key issues for Filey
Identify ways in which these issues can be addressed
Provide a framework for partnership working to improve the quality of
life for all residents of Filey.
An action plan has been developed for this Town Plan and this will be reviewed and updated regularly by the Town Plan Group. As part of this, work is being undertaken, supported by The Borough Council’s Planning Service, to develop a land based plan for Filey. This will set out how the planning and development process can help to support the delivery of the Town Plan.
