STONEHENGE SUMMER SOLSTICE
Sygma Safety provides H&S consultation and advice to English Heritage for the managed open access at Stonehenge every Summer Solstice.
This annual contract involves 12 months of meetings and exercises to protect visitors from harm and protect English Heritage from claims and poor PR incidents
For years this was the image of Summer Solstice at Stonehenge.
Now, through communication with interest groups and liaison with the authorities, managed open access means a celebration at a sacred site for people from all communities.
Working with druids and pagans, police and civil protection, Sygma Safety is an integral part of this operation and advises on everything from traffic management and stewarding, to site layout and contingency provisions.
We share our risk assessments with all agencies involved, especially the police and security advisors.
