CounterPoint SQL V8.3.5 Release Notes
Entering purchase order numbers in Ticket Entry
In this version, you can allow users to assign purchase order numbers to tickets and orders in Ticket Entry and Touchscreen Ticket Entry. You can also configure CounterPoint to automatically prompt the user to enter a Customer PO# for each new ticket. Finally, you can now require PO numbers for specific customers or customer categories.
These enhancements allow you to more easily track sales for customers who use purchase orders and help to ensure that your users record PO numbers appropriately.
Select the Allow PO number entry check box on the Tickets-1 tab of the Stores window (Setup / Point of Sale / Stores) to allow all users to enter PO numbers for tickets and orders.
To automatically prompt all users to enter a PO number for each new Point of Sale document, select the Prompt for PO number check box.
With the Allow PO number entry setting enabled, users can select the Enter PO number command from the Ticket menu in Ticket Entry to display the Enter PO number dialog.
To allow Touchscreen Ticket Entry users to use this command, you must assign the new Enter PO number action to a button in your Touchscreen layout using the Button Editor (Setup / Point of Sale / Touchscreen Codes).
